For the longest time this team has been one of the worst in the NFL. But things seem to be looking up for the Cincinnati Bengals who for the first time in 30 years have made the playoffs in consecutive seasons.
Being a fan of Cincinnati for over 10 years now I know this team has had more down’s than up’s as a franchise, with plenty of divas in the locker room and plenty of off the field problems. Cincinnatidecided to change all that last season when they decided to let go its 2 best players in Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson.
The organization decided to rebuild the franchise in the 2011 draft getting wide receiver AJ Green and in the 2nd round quarterback Andy Dalton. It has paid off for Cincinnati seeing as Green has over 2,300 yards in just 30 games into his career and 18 touchdowns. Andy Dalton has been no slouch either his first 2 years throwing close to 7,000 yards and 46 touchdowns in his first 31 games as a professional.
As sad as I was seeing Palmer and Chad Johnson go I think Cincinnati has gotten a lot better in the locker room, and when you have a cohesive group in the locker room it shows out on the field.
With a good young offense and tough underrated defense the Bengals are going to be a team to be reckoned with in the AFC, hoping to give the fans of Cincinnati a football team to be proud of once again.
